Coffee House: A Pinktastic Night!
Friday, January 26 was 2024’s winter Coffee House led by Middle School students. The theme for the night was Barbie, based on the film that came out last summer.
This pinktastic evening ran from 7:00–8:30 PM, showcasing over 15 acts performed by Inly Middle School students, teachers, parents, and alumni. Our two fabulous hosts, Emma McLaughlin and Rosalie Hauser, started the night out strong in matching pink jumpsuits performing the iconic “Dance the Night” dance.
Solo performances like Bree Antico’s “I Have a Dream” by ABBA and Will Murdock’s “I’m Just Ken” from Barbie wowed the audience. Trios and duets such as Paul Antico and Stephanie McLaughlin’s “Kids” and Katie Fredette, Core Whitmore, and Eve Reichert’s “Choose Your Fighter” were fantastic. It was the group performances that were the highlight of the night. The Inly Middle School band performed “I Love Rock and Roll” and “Brazil.” The new band Trust the Juice, not the Process, performed “Can’t Stop.” Overall this Barbie-themed night was amazing, from the hosting to the performers to the decorations—it was definitely a night to remember.
