Inly School’s community outreach initiative, February Fill the Truck month, has become a heartwarming tradition entering its eighth year.

Throughout the month, students eagerly participated by filling a large trailer with donations for different charitable organizations, showcasing the School’s commitment to making a positive impact in the community.

The trailer was generously lent by Inly parents, Adam and Jess Fairbanks, and parked at the School’s main entrance for students to conveniently drop off their donations on Friday mornings during the month of February. Each week brought a new focus, highlighting diverse needs and encouraging students to engage with a variety of philanthropic causes.

Week One: Students contributed essential items like baby diapers and wipes for the Quincy Family Resource Center.

Week Two: The focus was on the Plymouth Area Coalition for the Homeless Food Pantry, encouraging donations of non-perishable food items to help address food insecurity in the local community.

Week Three: The spotlight turned to Room to Grow, with students contributing winter clothing, health and hygiene supplies, and Spanish books to aid the organization's mission.

Week Four: Promoted compassion for our furry friends as students rallied to support the Scituate Animal Shelter, providing pet food, toys, and cleaning supplies.

Inly School’s February Fill the Truck initiative not only fosters a sense of community and generosity among its students but also demonstrates the power of collective efforts in making a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.
