Inly Alumnus and Boston 25 Meteorologist Shares His Passion With Students
As long as Tucker Antico ’11 can remember, he loved everything about the weather. When he was a Lower Elementary student at Inly, Tucker joined the science committee and began to study the clouds. “I learned everything I could about clouds. Some of the kids would say, ‘oh look, it’s a serious cloud,’ and I just had to correct them. ‘It’s not a “serious,” it’s a “cirrus” cloud,’ I’d say. I just couldn’t help it.”
This week, Tucker returned to Inly to share his long-held passion with current elementary students. He answered their questions and enthusiastically spoke about how snow, hail and tornadoes are formed. He encouraged students to embrace curiosity and investigate topics that they are interested in, just as he did. And, of course, he discussed the different types of clouds!
As an Inly Middle School student in 2010, Tucker Antico spoke about his internship at the American Meteorological Society to classmates, teachers and parents.
